We are looking to add a wide range of supporters to our campaign. We already have early indications of support from a wide range of stakeholders and as we launch we hope to announce them more formally. As you can imagine we need support from Government, charities, sports bodies and NGBs as well as commercial backers.
At the moment we have in principle support from Sport England, The Sport and Recreation Alliance, RFU, FA, LTA, Street Games, School of Hard Knocks, Cabinet office, and Numbers4Good. We have many more people interested in supporting the establishment of the SiF so please follow us on twitter or send us a supportive message.
We know most people will be supportive and wish us luck – but we need your help and vocal support to put this Fund in place. Please do get involved.
Specifically we would welcome people and organisations adding their support to the Government consultation on a new Sport & Physical Activity Strategy.
The Consultation (P26) specifically looks at new Investment Models and highlights the existing work being done to look at Social Investment. We will be responding to the consultation and proposing the Sport Impact Fund is established in partnership with DCMS, the Cabinet Office, Sport England, Sport and Recreation Alliance, leading Sports Charities and the private sector involved in Social Investment.
